cs /Zeph Chair by Herman Miller, 2022

Zeph is a new office chair line designed by studio 7.5 for Herman Miller. In collaboration, case studies was tasked with the development of 3D knitted upholstery covers for various seat variations. The knitting includes all stages of processing – the covers have an integrated padding for greater comfort and include all attachment features and clean edges. This innovative approach results in an interchangeable system, no cutting or glueing is needed and the shaped knitting stands for a reasonable almost waste-free usage of material.
