In a research collaboration with Santoni we developed highly textured textiles providing special properties for specific applications like furniture upholstery and outdoor. Through the use of filling yarns and double face techniques we achieved relief effects with integrated voluminous paddings. The created surfaces show a certain tactile quality. Referencing traditional textile techniques and non repetitive patterns the outcome combines strongly technical fabrics with a non linear emotional approach.
